The THRIVE Academy is a 12-week pre-accelerator program for pre-seed stage agrifood tech companies looking to commercialize their innovations. The program helps participants de-risk and validate their idea while preparing them to raise capital and build out their go to market strategy.

At SVG Ventures | THRIVE, we’re looking to support companies that are building innovative solutions across the agrifood value chain. If you are a pre-seed stage agrifood tech company with an innovation that you’re looking to validate and commercialize, then the THRIVE Academy can offer you the tools, resources, and network to support your growth and development.

As a member of the THRIVE Academy program, you will be part of an engaging cohort and a growing community of agrifood tech entrepreneurs, with access to SVG Ventures | THRIVE’s robust network of subject matter experts, mentors, corporates partners, post-secondary institutions, and investors.

Investment

Through the program participants will learn the fundamentals of what founders need to be investment ready. THRIVE may connect participants to investors from our network who may pursue investment.

Facilities and Services

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about and apply to trial their technologies at Smart Farm facilities and post-secondary institutions to trial, evaluate, and demonstrate their technology.

Tools and Technologies

Participants will have access to a comprehensive portal of online resources and e-learning materials to support them throughout the program, as well as access to software and services perks.

Expertise

Participants will gain valuable insights into foundational business building principles and specialized agrifood industry lessons from subject matter experts across THRIVE’s network of carefully selected mentors, corporate partners, and industry stakeholders through a combination of virtual and in-person programming.

Networking

Participants will have opportunities to meet, collaborate and network with fellow agrifood tech founders, as well as an ecosystem of investors, government agencies, and industry members from across the world through our workshops, sessions, in-person immersion week and Demo Day.

Market Access

Participants will get the chance to connect to agrifood industry stakeholders from the THRIVE network for guidance on technology validation, adoption, and potential collaboration opportunities, where relevant.
