Fungal disease is one of the key factors which lead to the crop yield reduction. In 2012, a report published on Nature indicated that the cereal crop diseases caused by fungi had been the global food security issue, if the spread of the fungal diseases in 5 main food crops could be controlled, 600 million more people could be fed each year around the world. It was estimated that fungal diseases had reduced the output of these five main food crops by 125 million tons annually worldwide. Wherein, the damage to rice, wheat and corn caused by such diseases alone had brought about an annual economic loss of 60 billion U. S. Dollars to global agriculture. Fusarium is a large genus of filamentous fungi, wheat Fusarium head blight caused by Fusarium result in product reduction every year, which can even lead to no yielding in the year of pandemic. Due to the importance of rice and wheat in China, fungal diseases had attracted the attentions of scientists, therefore there is a clear trend that many Chinese companies and institutions are developing more and more new AI. For better controlling fungal disease, we are looking for innovative active ingredient from development to registration phases from companies and institutions in APAC region, especially in China.
